Enchantments have become an essential part of Skyblock. They help make work on your island easier, allow you to gather resources faster, and let you play more efficiently overall. With the addition of more special enchantments in recent updates, they have become increasingly important and Enchantments will continue to play a central role in the future, which is why we want to further expand the system.
The original Minecraft enchantment system comes with several limitations and some complicated mechanics. Our goal is not to flip everything upside down or make things more complex. Instead, we want to create a consistent and easy-to-understand system. For this reason, there will no longer be a difference in how vanilla and special enchantments are handled.
Enchanting itself works mostly as you are used to. You can still enchant your equipment at the enchantment table to receive random enchantments.
However, the way enchanted books are handled is changing: On Skyblock, it is no longer possible to enchant books at the enchantment table! Instead, you can obtain enchanted books through fishing or from the new Enchantment Merchant at your island market.
Another change: Every enchanted book will now only contain a single enchantment! Existing books with multiple enchantments will remain functional, but new books of this type can no longer be created.

Daraus ergeben sich einige wichtige Änderungen:

Please note that costs increase with every combination. Once the cost exceeds 39 levels, it can no longer be paid. It is therefore worth being economical with book and item combinations. As a result, books that already start with a higher enchantment level are way more valuable.
A new villager can now appear at your island market: the Enchantment Merchant. Currently, he requires books and Lapis Lazuli to advance his enchantments. In return, you will receive coins and, with a bit of luck, an enchanted book. In most cases, these are vanilla enchantments of various levels; however, there is also a small chance of obtaining rare special enchantments that were previously only found in treasure chests.

In addition to the island market, there is another way to obtain enchanted books, especially for new players: fishing. As usual, you can pull books out of the water while angling. However, if you fish with a standard rod and no bait, the chance of getting an enchanted book is quite low and you can only obtain the lowest level of enchantments.
To help with this, Experience Bait is now available. This not only noticeably increases your chances of catching an enchanted book but also allows you to obtain books of all enchantment levels. With a bit of luck, you can trade a small amount of pearls for Experience Bait at the Fish Merchant.

Anvil wear is a core Minecraft feature that increases every time an item is repaired or combined with other items or enchantments in an anvil.
On Skyblock, Anvil wear plays a particularly important role as it directly affects the value of items. Especially in combination with the expanded enchantment and trading system, it makes a huge difference whether an item has already been modified many times or can still accept many more enchantments. An item with low Anvil wear is therefore significantly more valuable than one that can hardly be improved any further.
For this reason, we have decided to make the Anvil wear of items transparent. You can now see this value everywhere, including in the Auction House. This allows you to see at a glance how "used" an item already is and helps you better decide whether a purchase or further upgrade is worth it.

You can find a detailed overview of this system and the exact calculation of the costs in the Minecraft Wiki.
Multibreak
This enchantment has been reworked and now features levels I and II, which determine the destruction radius. Manual adjustment of the radius is no longer possible; however, you can now mine individual blocks by crouching. All existing Multibreak enchantments will be automatically converted to Multibreak II.
Greedy Mending
Greedy Mending now also features levels I and II, which determine the percentage of collected experience used for repairs. While standard Mending continues to use 50% of XP, Greedy Mending now uses 10% or 20% depending on the level.
Storage
The enchantment now correctly affects maces and tridents. In general, all items are now stored with this enchantment, even if the block type does not match the tool.
Replanting
This feature has been expanded and now also applies to nether warts and cocoa beans.
